Follow these instructions to properly release and renew your IP address:
1. Select the Apple Menu and go to "System Preferences."
2. Click on the Network icon, either at the top in the menu bar, or under Internet & Network at the bottom.

3. If you are running OS 10.3 (Panther), you will be asked to display either the "Built-in Ethernet" or "Internal Modem". Choose "Built-in Ethernet." If you are NOT running OS 10.3 or higher, simply select "Built-In Ethernet" from the "Show" menu (circled below), and skip to step #5.

4. If you are running OS X 10.3 (Panther) or higher, simply click "Renew DHCP Lease" and skip to step #9.
5. Set your "Configure" settings to "MANUALLY."

6. Click on the "Apply Now" button.

7. Change the "Configure" pop-up menu back to "USING DHCP."

8. Click on the "Apply Now" button again. Your computer will request an IP address from our DHCP server. The new address should appear in a few moments.

9. Now test your connection by clicking here. If the Cisco Home Page loads, then you have successfully repaired the connection (page may vary from image below).
10. If the page does not load:
