Reinstalling your cable modem:
Windows 2000
Ethernet Connection

If your ethernet card was installed by a Cablevision technician, follow these instructions:

From where the last page left off:
1. Right-click on your ethernet card, and click "PROPERTIES."

2. Click the tab on top that reads, "DRIVER," and click "UPDATE DRIVER."

3. The Update Driver Wizard should open. Insert the floppy diskette provided by your Cablevision representative into your floppy disk drive, and click "NEXT."

4. Be sure, "Search for a suitable driver for my device" is selected, and click "NEXT."

5. Ensure that Floppy disk drives is the only selection that is checked, and click "NEXT."

6. Continue to wait while the wizard searches for your drivers.

7. Once the wizard has found the driver, click "NEXT" to install it.

11. Your computer should eventually begin installing the drivers. When finished, allow your computer to restart.

If the wizard cannot find the drivers on the disk, restart your computer and try again. If you get the same results, go back to the installation location screen (pictured above) and contact tech support.
